Technical Rules for Workplaces ASR A1.7

According to the German technical rules for workplaces ASR A1.7 "Doors and gates", every operator of commercially used power-operated doors and gates must have a safety inspection carried out by an expert regularly, but at least annually. The closing force measurement and inspection are also part of the inspection the reversing function.
The safety test may only be carried out by a competent person who can assess the functionality of the protective device and check it with suitable measurement technology, which not only verifies the forces but also the temporal course of force on closing edges.
Like the European standard EN 12453, the ASR A1.7 rule also describes the hazards on doors and gates (crushing, drawing-in, shearing points) and the correct procedure for installation and commissioning.
